Privacy Policy

This policy explains how DukanPOS handles information when you use the DukanPOS Android app and related services.

Information we process

DukanPOS processes account identifiers, shop profile details, staff records, product and inventory records, sales and return records, customer details, optional product photos, device identifiers, optional push-notification tokens, and advertising consent choices.

Why we process it

We use this information to provide offline-first point-of-sale features, synchronize authorised shop devices, secure accounts, create receipts and reports, provide optional backups, and send notifications that the shop owner enables.

Service providers and advertising

DukanPOS uses hosting, database, email, SMS, notification, and optional Google services to provide the app. Google Drive is optional and is used only after an owner connects their own Google account for backups.

The Android app uses Google Mobile Ads to show non-personalised banner advertising on passive screens for owner and cashier sessions. Ads are not placed in data-entry, payment, printing, synchronisation, or other blocking workflows. Where required, Google presents a consent message and DukanPOS provides a Privacy choices entry beside eligible ads.

Permissions

• Camera access is requested only to scan barcodes or capture product images.
• Bluetooth access is requested only to connect a receipt printer.
• Photo access is requested only when an owner selects an image.
• Notifications are optional.

Retention and deletion

You can permanently delete your DukanPOS account and associated DukanPOS service data in the app: Settings, Account, Delete account. This deletes the shop, staff, products, sales, customers, sync records, and connected service credentials. Google Drive backup files remain in your own Google Drive and must be removed there separately.

Security

We use authenticated connections and access controls designed to limit data access to authorised shop users. Do not share your account credentials or device PIN.
